Oakland coach Greg Kampe at peace with 14 seed

Oakland coach Greg Kampe addressed a room of roughly 150 guests at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester Monday morning and quickly cleared the air.
"I was kind of mad when I was sitting there and they announced that we were a 14 seed. My first reaction, maybe it was an ego thing, 'How can we be a 14 seed when we're a 51 in the RPI?' You work so hard at your RPI and that's the thing that determines where you're seeded and where you go," he said.
But after some reflection, the 26-year coach realized the importance of the team's destination — Milwaukee. The site is a mere six-eight hours of a car ride, more easily accessable to the team's fanbase.
"I'm really happy and excited about the draw," he continued. "It's the best thing that could happen to us and Pittsburgh is a good basketball team. They've got a great tradition and they have a great name recognition, so when they lose, (everyone will know)."
The game tips off at approximately 2:30 p.m. Eastern on Friday afternoon and will be carried nationally on CBS.
