The Real Deal

Oakland radio voice Neal Ruhl talked to MLive for the first of a three-part series reviewing the Golden Grizzlies' season. Here are some highlights:
“The win over Tennessee gave the program such tremendous exposure for those couple days after it happened. They were the lead story on ESPN. (Keith) Benson and (Greg) Kampe did multiple interviews with national sports agencies. You can't buy that kind of exposure.”
“The goal is going to be the same: Get to the NCAA tournament and do damage — that is the standard that has now been set by this program.”
About incoming guards Matt Poches (Hartland) and Dante Williams (Ann Arbor Huron): “Guys like these seem to be the new breed of college basketball player, very versatile and have the ability to do it all on the floor.”
Part II is supposed to be released Wednesday.
