Providence transfer Duke Mondy reportedly headed to Oakland
Mondy was released from the team in May after sitting the season's final four games of his sophomore season. He averaged 7.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game last season, his best coming against a nationally-ranked Georgetown team in February, where Mondy scored 19 points. He led the Big East with 2.1 steals per game.
Mondy found himself "in disciplinary trouble at PC on several occasions in his two years at the school," according to the Providence Journal. Announcing Mondy's dismissal, Providence personnel declined to specify the reason for his departure.
A Twitter account, which appears to belong to Mondy indicates in different tweets "I live in Rochester now" and "I'm at Oakland University."
