Keith Benson headed back to Sioux Falls in NBADL

After being drafted by the Atlanta Hawks, there were several familial connections to keep Keith Benson connected. After being released by the Hawks, Benson has landed in another familiar spot: Sioux Falls, S.D., with the SkyForce of the NBA Developmental League.
The two-time Summit League player of the year signed with the NBADL earlier this week and fell to the SkyForce in the waiver order. The team is a minor league affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat and Orlando Magic.
Oakland fans should note the SkyForce play at Sioux Falls Arena, home of the Summit League tournament, Thursday, March 1, two days before the tournament begins.
Benson has already played nine games at his new home arena, going 8-1 as a member of the Golden Grizzlies. The only loss came on a last-second shot, as North Dakota State topped Oakland in the 2009 Summit League Tournament final. The Grizzlies went on to win the next two in a row.

Benson also played in an Italian league during the NBA lockout after getting drafted No. 48 overall in June.He is expected to play Friday night.
