More notes from the road

Oakland won its first game in 10 where an opponent shoots 50 percent or better. The Mastodons shot 53 percent Saturday. The Grizzlies, meanwhile, have shot 50 percent or better in consecutive games for the first time this season. ...Despite graduating shot-blocking dynamo Keith Benson to the pros, freshman Kyle Sikora turned away four shots Saturday, a career high. … Travis Bader missed his first three 3-point shots, but recovered to finish 4 of 10 en route to a 21-point night. Also, Ryan Bass was a career-best 3 of 4 from beyond the arc. Reggie Hamilton took top honors, going 5 for 10. … Hamilton, who dished out eight assists, now has three 30-point games against IPFW since coming to Oakland. … All three of Laval Lucas-Perry’s points came from the free-throw line and he tied for the team-high with seven rebounds. … Freshman Corey Petros has been atrocious from the line, was 5 for 5 tonight. … With 14 points, Drew Valentine reached double figures scoring for the 14th time this season. He also tied for the team lead with seven rebounds.
