Former Oakland standout Will Hudson ablaze in Australia

Using the trademark work ethic that made him a formidable inside presence with Keith Benson, former Oakland forward Will Hudson is making things happen for the Gold Coast Blaze in Australia's NBL, which is on a three-game winning streak.
“It came down to putting a full game together and I think it really starts with how we have been practicing and the intensity that has been going on in training," Hudson told the team's website.
The site did commit what Oakland fans consider a huge no-no, referring to the Rochester school as a California institution. But hey, at least they're from a completely different continent and it's still written in English.
And before you go questioning the compeition level of the NBL, Hudson points out it is comparable to other pro leagues around the world.
“Some people might not realize how good this league is...I think it is really underrated how much talent is in this league," he said.
Also of note, the Blaze's home arena is called the Furnace. Do they have those in that country? Hudson, a Madison, Wisc., native, can surely tell them a thing or two about cold winters. Remember, they're playing during the country's summer season, as temperatures in various parts of the nation are in the 80s.
