Oakland to play Indiana next season

As has become tradition, Oakland coach Greg Kampe took to Twitter to announce Oakland has lined up a game with Indiana in the 2013-14 non-conference schedule. The game will be at Indiana Dec. 10.
The Golden Grizzlies, of course, will be playing their first regular season in the Horizon League, a move which director of athletics Tracy Huth said could lead to the reduction in big-name opponents on Oakland's schedule. Kampe seemed resigned to the idea at an introductory press conference last month after having secured dates with North Carolina, UCLA, Gonzaga and Cal to open the season.
Kampe spilled the beans at about 3 p.m. Monday.

Kampe said via text message the game was scheduled when he attended the V Foundation Gala last month. He said Tom Crean and the Hoosiers were in need of another non-conference game after another opponent backed out.
In a recent live chat with the Detroit Free Press, Kampe said he was hoping to have the non-conference schedule completed by the end of this month.
